Christopher Gulka, CA, CFA, of Calgary, Alberta,
founded Working Capital Corporation in 1999, a corporate finance firm
specializing in the areas of valuations, due diligence, corporate finance,
investor relations, and management consulting. For the past five years, he has
been extensively involved in the fields of securities regulation, valuations,
due diligence, corporate finance, financial services, accounting, taxation,
management consulting. He has been a Financial Analyst at the Alberta Securities
Commission, an Investment Analyst at a venture capital firm, a Business Valuator
at a corporate finance boutique, and a merchant banker.
During this period, Mr. Gulka has also consulted to a many private and public
companies, completing financial analysis and corporate planning. Over this
period he has been involved in the review and preparation of hundreds of due
diligence reports, business valuations, feasibility studies, business plans,
research reports, prospectuses, offering memorandums, and annual information
forms, for submission to the Alberta Stock Exchange and the Alberta Securities
Commission as well as for private purposes. Mr. Gulka is also a director of a
number of public and private companies. Formerly, he was Senior Accountant with
public accounting firms, where he worked in the areas of auditing, accounting,
management consulting, taxation, litigation support, financial planning, and
financial modeling. He has also been in the role of Chief Financial Officer of
an international private company.
Mr. Gulka holds: a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the University of
Alberta, and the professional designations of Chartered Accountant (CA) and
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Mr. Gulka is a member of the Association for
Investment Management and Research (AIMR), Calgary Society of Financial Analysts
(CSFA), the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA), the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of Alberta (ICAA), and the Entrepreneurial Chartered
Accountants of Calgary.
Mr. Gulka currently serves on the Corporate Finance Task Force for the Institute
of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, and the Calgary Society of Chartered
Financial Analysts Programs Sub-Committee Meeting.
Mr. Gulka has been named in the National Register's Who's Who in Executives &
Professionals for 2002-2003 Edition.
Mr. Gulka writes The StockManager, an investment newsletter, that is distributed
across North America. He also writes The Prairie Trader, a monthly investment
column in the Alberta Venture Magazine.
Mr. Gulka has presented numerous courses and seminars on investing, financial
analysis, and fundamental analysis, and has had articles published in financial
magazines and newsletters.
